The Lawrence Public Library is a public library located in Lawrence, Kansas. It serves the City of Lawrence, and, through its membership in the Northeast Kansas Library System (NEKLS), all of the citizens of the NEKLS multi-county regional library system. It is governed by a board of trustees consisting of seven members.
The library offers many services to the public, including a collection of over 250,000 books and other materials, home delivery, a senior living center, public computers, meeting rooms, extensive programming and exhibits/displays.
The mission of the Lawrence Public Library is to provide and promote informational, intellectual, and cultural resources for our community. We invite residents to use the collections and take full advantage of the many library programs and services.
